How does Cobalt work?
Cobalt is the idea development built on a SaaS platform that takes innovators through the product creation process step by step. Each idea is given an Idea Roadmap containing the 4 major phases of idea development: Ideate, Validate, Develop and Launch. Innovators can do many of the tasks required of idea development on their own but for the trickier tasks are matched to Pros who can be hired (assigned) to complete the task.
How does funding work on Cobalt?
Upon creating your free Cobalt account, users will set up their Stripe account to receive or process payments. Your bank account information is not stored by Cobalt and we do not have access to any of your personal information.
How long does it take to develop an idea?
Cobalt’s software was built to make developing your idea faster than ever thought possible. Gone are the days (or years) that you spend waiting for patents and customers. Innovators who stay on track of our self-guided Idea Roadmap have prototypes in as little as 30 days.
How much should I budget for my idea?
Ideas are like fingerprints – no two are alike. With that said, Cobalt is free for the first 30 days and memberships start at 9.99/mo thereafter. The Ideate Phase costs around $250, the validation phase average cost is $1,500 and the development and launch phases can vary quite drastically.
How do I select the designers and engineers to work on my project?
Cobalt’s software seamlessly matches you to the best Pros to work on your idea. If you don’t see a Pro that you want to hire, you are free to browse the Seller Marketplace
What is an innovator?
The dictionary defines an innovator as “a person who introduces new methods, ideas, or products”. And we take that definition quite literally. Innovators can come be anyone from anywhere. It’s simple – Cobalt is a place for people with ideas and desire to bring them to life.
